Could someone please delete all the topics created by spambots? It makes the board a mess.

While we're on that subject can we have all the forums restricted to members and have an activation forum people have to post in to get activated (therefore the bots will only post in that). It might mean moderators will have to be on more frequently, but really that is a good thing!

Make the normal forums viewable for everybody, the download forums restricted (viewable only by members).

Nah, too much trouble. Better to just add a CAPTCHA system to the registration process.

I thought there was a captcha... either way most of the forums I'm on have an activation forum. Means you also get to see who the little annoying 12 year olds are.

Also the forum company software is also susceptible to spam more than a paid one (this one is freely downloadable). I had the exact same issue on my forum even when we tightened security and added an activation forum. We ended up getting rid of the forum because nobody was on it really and the spammers were ridiculous
